If the BC land bank will acquire these eleven targeted blighted house properties, clear the deed, test for and abate any environmental hazards, then Sinclair Foundation will provide a GIFT up to $200,000 in demolition services from a licensed/permitted and insured contractor - selected by and paid by Sinclair Foundation. This GIFT; should save Ohio Taxpayers at least $200,000.
To insure that the properties are placed back in productive use, Sinclair Foundation will retain a lien on each property: for the cost of the inspection, legal costs, and demolition services. Said lien may not be removed without Sinclair Foundation written authorization. In addition, for a period of up to three years, Sinclair Foundation will partner thirds with BC land bank and the Village of BellAire to maintain the properties.
